About our school

At Kaurna Plains School, there exists a genuine cooperative partnership between school and community. From reception to year 12 we work together with our students to reinforce and maintain feelings, knowledge and understandings about Aboriginality in order to develop a sense of pride, confidence and esteem as Aboriginal people.

The school philosophy is of being united to empower students to be culturally strong, confident and successful and to ensure that parents and community members are an active part of the school.

The site is co-located with the Kaurna Plains Childcare Centre, Kaurna Plains Preschool and Kaurna Children Parent Centre which provides a wide range of services for families.

The wetlands program connects students to their environment and is managed as part of the science/environment program.
